1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, a couple of pinches
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice, a couple of pinches
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, eyeball it
2 pints butter pecan ice cream
1 jar caramel sauce topping for sundaes, any brand
Whipped cream
1/2 cup honey roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven or toaster oven to 325 degrees F. Place the coconut on a small cookie sheet and spice it up with cloves, allspice and cinnamon. Toast coconut 10 to 12 minutes to deep golden. Cool.
  • Chop honey roasted peanuts by hand or in processor. Reserve.
  • Remove lid to caramel sauce topping and place in microwave. Microwave the sauce on high 45 seconds to warm it through.
  • Fill dessert bowls with butter pecan ice cream and top with caramel sauce, whipped cream, chopped nuts and spiced, toasted coconut.

32 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
7 eggs
2 cups sugar

3/4 pound chopped walnuts, optional
HOT FUDGE SAUCE:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1 cup baking cocoa
Vanilla ice cream
Whipped cream and maraschino cherries, optional

Steps:

  • In a large heavy saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat; stir until smooth. Cool., In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar on low speed until combined. Beat on medium-high until thickened and lemon-colored, about 12 minutes. Beat in vanilla and chocolate mixture. Fold in flour and salt just until blended (batter will be thick). Fold in walnuts if desired. , Transfer to two greased 13x9-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 3 blood oranges
2/3 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, diced
1 quart vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Fleur de sel* (optional)

Steps:

  • Squeeze juice from 1 orange (about 1/4 cup) into small bowl. Cut ends off remaining 2 oranges to expose flesh. Cut oranges lengthwise into quarters; pull out and discard white center pith. Cut orange quarters crosswise into 1/8-inch-thick slices. Place orange slices along with any collected juices in another bowl.
  • Sprinkle sugar evenly over bottom of heavy 10-inch-diameter skillet; scatter butter pieces over and drizzle with 2 tablespoons orange juice. 3 large eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon finely grated blood orange zest
1/2 cup fresh blood orange juice
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
Vanilla ice cream, softly whipped cream, olive oil, and flaky sea salt (for serving)

Steps:

  • Whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl until pale and thick, about 4 minutes. Bring blood orange zest and juice, lemon juice, and salt to a simmer in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisking constantly, gradually add half of juice mixture to egg mixture, then whisk egg mixture into remaining juice mixture in saucepan.
