Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 bottle (12 oz. each) beer
4 fully-cooked bratwurst
1 Tbsp a-1 original steak sauce
4 8 inch flour tortillas
4 cheese singles

Steps:

  • 1. Heat grill to medium heat. Cook and stir onions in hot olive oil in large non-stick skillet on medium high heat for 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown; cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  • 2. While you are cooking the onions, bring beer to a boil in medium saucepan. Add bratwurst; cook for 5 minutes. Drain. Put brats on grill and grill 4-5 minutes until heated through and browned, turning occasionally.
  • 3. Stir steak sauce into onions. Top each tortilla with a cheese slice, onions and a bratwurst. Roll up and serve.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality brats: Look for brats made with fresh, locally sourced pork and avoid those with excessive fillers or preservatives.
  • Cook the brats thoroughly: Bratwurst should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) to ensure food safety and optimal flavor.
  • Grill or pan-fry the brats: Grilling or pan-frying adds a delicious smoky flavor to the brats. If grilling, cook over medium heat for about 10-12 minutes, turning frequently.
  • Use a variety of toppings: Experiment with different toppings to create unique and flavorful brat wraps. Some popular options include sauerkraut, grilled onions, peppers, and cheese.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Brat wraps can be served with a variety of sides, such as potato salad, coleslaw, or chips.

Conclusion:

Brat wraps are a versatile and delicious meal that can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or even as a snack. With their endless topping possibilities, brat wraps are a great way to satisfy your cravings and experiment with new flavors. Whether you prefer classic toppings like sauerkraut and onions or something more adventurous like grilled pineapple and avocado, there's a brat wrap out there for everyone.
