Tips:

  • Use a sharp knife or mandoline to thinly slice the cabbage and carrots. This will help them absorb the dressing better and make the slaw more crisp and flavorful.
  • If you don't have a mandoline, you can use a food processor fitted with the slicing blade. Just be careful not to over-process the vegetables, or they will become mushy.
  • Be sure to rinse the cabbage and carrots thoroughly before slicing them. This will help remove any dirt or debris.
  • If you have time, let the slaw marinate in the dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop.
  • Serve the slaw chilled, either as a side dish or a topping for tacos, sandwiches, or salads.

Conclusion:

Cabbage and corn slaw with cilantro and orange dressing is a light, refreshing, and flavorful side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make, and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a healthy and delicious side dish, give this cabbage and corn slaw a try.
