1/2 cup lard
1 T molasses
1/4 cup milk
1 3/4 cups rolled oats (not quick oats)

  • Bake the cookies until they are golden brown. The cookies should be slightly soft in the center when they are done.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before serving. This will help them to firm up and develop their full flavor.
