CARAMEL PEAR PUDDING CAKE

Caramel Pear Pudding Cake image

This is the most delicious dessert, and easy to put together, a great ending to any meal. This can also be made with apples, but use a firm apple such as Granny Smith for this recipe. I usually stick this in the oven, and bake it as we are having dinner, and serve it with ice cream as a topping...so yummy!

Tips:

  • Use ripe pears: This will ensure that your pudding has a sweet and juicy flavor.
  • Peel and core the pears before cooking: This will help to prevent the skin from becoming tough and the core from making the pudding bitter.
  • Cook the pears in a mixture of butter, sugar, and water: This will help to caramelize the pears and give them a rich, golden color.
  • Use a heavy-duty saucepan or Dutch oven: This will help to prevent the pudding from burning on the bottom.
  • Bring the pudding mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour: This will allow the flavors to develop and the pudding to thicken.
  • Serve the pudding warm or at room temperature: It can be topped with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh fruit.

Conclusion:

Caramel pear pudding is a classic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With its rich, caramel flavor and tender, juicy pears, this pudding is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
