coarse salt
8 oz egg noodles
1 Tbsp caraway seeds
3 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 c flat leaf parsley, coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Fill a large pot three-quarters full with water. Bring to a boil; add 1 tablespoon salt. Add noodles; cook, according to package instructions, until al dente. Drain noodles, and return to pot.

  • 3. Pour caraway butter over noodles. Stir in parsley. Season noodles with salt, if necessary.

Tips for Making Caraway Noodles:

  • Choose the Right Noodles: For the best texture and flavor, use high-quality egg noodles. You can find these in the pasta section of most grocery stores.
  • Use Fresh Herbs: Fresh herbs, such as parsley, dill, and chives, add a bright, vibrant flavor to the dish. If you can't find fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but use half the amount.
  • Don't Overcook the Noodles: Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, but be careful not to overcook them. Overcooked noodles will be mushy and bland.
  • Use Real Butter: Butter adds a rich, creamy flavor to the dish. If you don't have butter, you can use olive oil, but the flavor will be different.
  • Season to Taste: Be sure to taste the dish before serving and adjust the seasoning as needed. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or caraway seeds to suit your taste.

Conclusion:

Caraway noodles are a delicious and versatile dish that can be served as a main course or a side dish. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a dish that the whole family will enjoy.
