Tips:

  • Use fresh marshmallows. Fresh marshmallows will be soft and fluffy, and they will melt evenly. Avoid using old or stale marshmallows, as they may be hard and difficult to melt.
  • Do not overcook the marshmallows. Overcooked marshmallows will be tough and chewy. Cook the marshmallows just until they are melted and smooth.
  • Add the cereal to the marshmallows immediately after they are melted. This will prevent the marshmallows from hardening and becoming difficult to stir.
  • Use a large mixing bowl. The mixture will expand as it is stirred, so it is important to use a large bowl to prevent it from overflowing.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan. This will help to prevent the bars from crumbling when they are cut.
  • Chill the bars for at least 2 hours before cutting. This will help them to set and firm up.
  • Cut the bars with a sharp knife. This will help to prevent the bars from crumbling.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
