2 quarts chopped cabbage
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1/4 cup milk
1 cup packed shredded American cheese or 1 Velveeta cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt, less if desired
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup finely crushed butter flavored cracker
4 tablespoons melted butter, more if needed

Steps:

  • Cook cabbage 5-7 minutes in salted water, drain well.
  • Combine soup, milk, cheese, salt and pepper in large bowl.
  • Microwave til cheese melts and is creamy. Stir occasionally.
  • Fold in cabbage.
  • Pour into 1-1/2 quart casserole dish.
  • Mix cracker crumbs and melted butter.

1 small cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 c butter
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 can(s) cream of chicken or mushroom soup
1/4 c butter
1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/ 2 to 1 stack of ritz crackers, finely chopped

Steps:

  • 1. preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. place cabbage into a casserole dish, sprinkle the onions over top of the cabbage.
  • 3. melt 1/2 stick of butter and pour over the cabbage. sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • 4. in a small bowl, mix soup and mayonnaise and spread over the cabbage mixture.
  • 5. melt the other 1/2 stick of butter and mix with the grated cheese and crushed crackers, spread over top of casserole.
  • 6. bake for about 45 minutes or until top is brown and inside is bubbly.

1/4 butter
1 small sweet onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium green cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 lb white mushroom, quartered
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, DIVIDED

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over med-high heat, melt butter.
  • Add onions, garlic, cabbage, mushrooms, salt and pepper and cover; stirring occasionally until cabbage is wilted.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add tomato soup and milk and stir well.
  • Add HALF of the shredded cheese; mix well.
  • Pour into a casserole or baking dish and sprinkle with remaining half of cheese.
  • Bake uncovered at 350° for about 20-25 minutes or until cheese starts to brown.

1 large head cabbage
2 teaspoons butter
1 small onion
3 garlic cloves
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream soup (your choice)
8 ounces bar cream cheese
2/3 cup water or 2/3 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
8 tablespoons butter
1 sleeve crushed Ritz cracker

Steps:

  • Finely chop cabbage, press into a 13"x9" cake pan.
  • Finely chop garlic and onion.
  • In a saucepan heat butter (2tsp.) and saute onion, salt, and garlic.
  • Add soup, cream cheese, water or milk, and pepper.

1 medium cabbage, chopped, about 36 ounces
1 small onion, chopped, 2 1/2 ounces
1 green or red bell pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons butter or bacon grease
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 cups diced cooked chicken breast, 18 ounces
1 cup sour cream *
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • In a very large Dutch oven or wok, fry the bacon until crisp; remove from pan to a paper towel-lined plate and reserve 2 tablespoons of the grease, if desired. Discard any remaining bacon grease. Sauté the cabbage, onions and bell peppers in butter or bacon grease until tender and wilted; season well with salt and pepper. Stir in the chicken, sour cream, bacon and 8 ounces of cheese. Adjust the seasoning as needed. Spread in a greased 9x13" baking pan. Top with 4 ounces of cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 450º until golden brown and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
