4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/3 cup marachino cherries, drained and chopped
small bowl of powdered sugar to roll cookies in

Place formed cookie balls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 14-16 minutes. You do not want these to brown. Cool 10 minutes. Roll cookies in powdered sugar to coat. Enjoy!

Important tips for making Chewy Cherry Nut Ball Cookies

  • Opt for fresh ingredients: You should always aim to use the freshest components available for the best results. Stale ingredients may affect the final product's texture and taste.
  • Don't overwork the batter: Overworked batter can result in tough cookies. Stir until the ingredients are just combined, and avoid over-beating the butter and sugar mixture.
  • Chill the batter before shaping: Chilling the batter helps the cookies hold their form better and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: Bake the cookies at the right temperature according to your recipe. Baking them at a higher temperature may result in burnt cookies, while a lower temperature may yield undercooked cookies.
  • Don't over-bake the cookies: Keep an eye on the cookies while they're in the over. Overbaking can lead to dry, crumbly cookies. They should be just set around the and slightly golden brown around the edge.
  • Let the cookies cool before serving: Let the cookies cool on a wire before transferring them to a plate. The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
