Tips:

  • When choosing Cajun seasoning, look for a blend that includes paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. You can also make your own Cajun seasoning blend by combining these spices in equal parts.
  • To get the best flavor from your Chex mix, use a variety of nuts and pretzels. Some good options include peanuts, almonds, pecans, cashews, pretzels, and bagel chips.
  • If you want your Chex mix to be extra spicy, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the seasoning blend.
  • Be sure to coat the Chex mix evenly with the seasoning blend. The best way to do this is to place the Chex mix in a large bowl and then pour the seasoning blend over it. Toss the Chex mix until it is evenly coated.
  • Bake the Chex mix at a low temperature for a long period of time. This will help to ensure that the Chex mix is crispy and flavorful.
  • Once the Chex mix is finished baking, let it cool completely before serving. This will help to prevent the Chex mix from becoming soggy.

Conclusion:

Chex Cajun Kick is a delicious and easy-to-make snack mix that is perfect for parties, potlucks, and road trips. It is also a great way to use up leftover Chex cereal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a tasty snack that everyone will enjoy.
