Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon. Look for wild-caught salmon that is fresh or frozen. Avoid farmed salmon, as it is often lower in quality and may contain harmful chemicals.
  • Use fresh ginger. Fresh ginger has a more pungent flavor than ground ginger. If you don't have fresh ginger, you can use 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger.
  • Don't overcook the salmon. Salmon is a delicate fish and can easily be overcooked. Cook the salmon until it is just cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Serve the salmon immediately. Salmon is best served hot, right out of the oven. You can garnish the salmon with chopped green onions or cilantro.

Conclusion:

This Chinese five-spice salmon with ginger broth is a delicious and healthy meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the ginger broth is flavorful and refreshing. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
