Steps:
- 1. Set aside noodles. A can of chinese noodles is 5 oz, a bag is about 12 oz. Use one can or 1/2 bag
- 2. In a mixing bowl, microwave together the marshmallows, peanut butter, /14 C butter for 1 or 2 minutes increments on high heat. Stir together until almost smooth. I just repeatedly spray a spoon with oil in order to mix and drop the cookies
- 3. With a greased spoon, mix in the noodles with microwaved cookies. Then drop on wax paper with greased spoon. Edible immediately, but they harden into a fudgy, crunchy candy in about 20 minutes.
Tips:
- Choose the right type of noodles. Any kind of noodle can be used to make Chinese noodle candy, but some types work better than others. Thin noodles, such as vermicelli or angel hair pasta, are a good choice because they are easy to caramelize. Thicker noodles, such as udon or ramen, can also be used, but they will take longer to cook.
- Use a heavy-bottomed pan. A heavy-bottomed pan will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the noodles from burning.
- Cook the noodles in small batches. Cooking the noodles in small batches will help to ensure that they are evenly cooked.
- Stir the noodles constantly. Stirring the noodles constantly will help to prevent them from sticking together and burning.
- Add the sugar syrup gradually. Adding the sugar syrup gradually will help to prevent the noodles from crystallizing.
- Be patient. Making Chinese noodle candy takes time. Don't rush the process, or you will end up with a sticky mess.
Conclusion:
Chinese noodle candy is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a little bit of patience, you can create a delicious and unique candy that is sure to impress your friends and family.
