Time 30m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup chocolate chips
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Combine pecans, brown sugar, flour and chocolate chips.
  • Make a well in center of mixture.
  • Beat eggs until foamy.
  • Stir together eggs and butter.
  • Add to dry ingredients.
  • Stir until moistened.
  • Spoon batter into cups, makes 4 large muffins, or 6 smaller muffins.
  • Mix topping ingredients together.
  • Sprinkle on top of each muffin.
  • Bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove from pan immediately.
  • Serve warm.

Tips:

  • Use quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the taste of your muffins. Opt for high-quality chocolate chips and pecans, and use fresh, unsalted butter for the best flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will result in tough, dense muffins. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Fill the muffin cups evenly: This will ensure that all of the muffins bake evenly. Use an ice cream scoop or a spoon to scoop the batter into the muffin cups.
  • Bake the muffins at the right temperature: The ideal temperature for baking muffins is 350°F (175°C). If you bake them at a higher temperature, they will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked.
  • Let the muffins cool before serving: This will allow the muffins to set and the flavors to develop. Let them cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Chocolate chip pecan muffins are a classic treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and always a hit with everyone. With these tips, you can make the perfect chocolate chip pecan muffins every time. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy snack or breakfast treat, give these muffins a try.
