⅓ cup white sugar
¼ cup orange marmalade
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
4 eggs
2 ½ cups cake flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
¾ cup orange juice
1 ¼ cups heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
15 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

8 large eggs, lightly beaten
8 cups grated carrots, about 1 1/2 pounds
Grated zest of 2 oranges

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread walnuts on a baking pan; bake until fragrant, about 7 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack. Coarsely chop walnuts, and set aside.
