Tips for Making Cherry Balls:
- Use fresh or frozen cherries. Fresh cherries are best, but frozen cherries will work just as well. If using frozen cherries, thaw them before using.
- Pit the cherries. Use a cherry pitter to remove the pits from the cherries. If you don't have a cherry pitter, you can use a paring knife to cut around the pits.
- Use a food processor to chop the cherries. This will make it easier to mix them with the other ingredients.
- Add sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to the cherries. These ingredients will help to flavor the cherry balls.
- Roll the cherry mixture into balls. Use a tablespoon to measure out the cherry mixture and then roll it into a ball. Place the cherry balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the cherry balls. Freeze the cherry balls for at least 30 minutes before dipping them in chocolate.
- Dip the cherry balls in melted chocolate. Use a fork to dip the cherry balls in melted chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing the cherry balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the cherry balls. Refrigerate the cherry balls for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Conclusion:
Cherry balls are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for Christmas or any other occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover cherries. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make a batch of cherry balls that will be enjoyed by everyone.
