Time 45m

Yield 15-32 Small-Large Bars, 15-32 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations refrigerated flaky dough sheet
1 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (I use 1/3 less fat)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4-1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar mixed with 2 t. cinnamon

Steps:

  • Layer one package crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9" x 13" pan. Pat to the edges.
  • Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla and layer on top of the rolls.
  • Lay the other can of crescent rolls on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Pour the melted butter over all and then sprinkle with the cinnamon/sugar mixture. *When I use a full stick of butter I have pools of butter/cinnamon to spoon around after baking. If I use ½ stick it seems to do less of this. Your choice.
  • Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
  • Bon appetite!

Yield 20-24 bars

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 Tubes (8-ounces each) of Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
2 Packages (8-oz. each) of Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1/4 Cup of Butter, melted
2-3 Teaspoons of Ground Cinnamon, Mixed with 1/2 Cup of Sugar

Steps:

  • Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and place it in a lightly greased 13x9x2 pan. Seal the seams and set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough. Unroll the remaining tube of dough and place over the cream cheese mixture. Seal the seams as best you can and stretch to fit. Brush butter evenly over the top of the dough and sprinkle with the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.

Tips:

  • To soften butter quickly, cut it into small pieces or grate it using a cheese grater.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for a richer flavor and creamy texture.
  • For a smoother filling, beat the cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy before adding the eggs.
  • If you don't have a mixing bowl, you can use a large resealable bag to mix the ingredients.
  • For a crumbly topping, use cold butter and flour that has been pulsed in a food processor until it resembles coarse crumbs. You can also just use a box of graham cracker crumbs.
  • To prevent the bars from sticking to the pan, line it with parchment paper or grease it with cooking spray.
  • Bake the bars until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares. This will help them hold their shape.

Conclusion:

Cinnamon cream cheese bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are made with a simple cream cheese filling and a crumbly cinnamon-sugar topping. The bars are baked until golden brown and then cut into squares. They can be served plain or with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream. These bars are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!
