Steps:
- 1. Combine all the dip ingredients in a small pan except the cornstarch-water mixture. 2. Heat for a few minutes until it's boiling and has extracted juice from the apple. 3. Add cornstarch-water mixture to the "sauce" 4. Put back on the stove until boiling and the sauce has thickened. 5. You can serve this warm or chilled, with Cinnamon sugar pita chips
Tips:
- Choose the right pita bread: For the best results, use fresh, high-quality pita bread. Avoid using pita bread that is dry or stale, as it will not crisp up properly.
- Cut the pita bread into even-sized pieces: This will help the pita chips to cook evenly. You can use a sharp knife or a kitchen shears to cut the pita bread.
- Toss the pita bread pieces with olive oil and seasonings: This will help the pita chips to brown and crisp up. You can use any seasonings you like, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, or chili powder.
- Spread the pita bread pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet: This will help the pita chips to cook evenly. Do not overcrowd the baking sheet, or the pita chips will not crisp up properly.
- Bake the pita chips in a preheated oven: This will help the pita chips to cook evenly. The baking time will vary depending on the thickness of the pita bread and the desired level of crispiness.
- Let the pita chips cool before serving: This will help the pita chips to firm up and become crispy.
