COCA-COLA BBQ SAUCE FOR RIBS

Coca-Cola BBQ Sauce for Ribs image

I love the sauce used on these BBQ'ed ribs, as does everyone that has tried them. I use the Country Style Pork Ribs and I prefer cooking them on the grill using indirect heat for hours, but I have used the oven as well. I mop the sauce on often and generously. I serve the sauce on-the-side as well. Recipe Origin - Jim Budros

CROCK POT COCA-COLA RIBS RECIPE - (4.3/5)

Crock Pot Coca-Cola Ribs Recipe - (4.3/5) image

Provided by รก-3915

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 pounds boneless country-style ribs
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 cup Coca-Cola
2/3 cup barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Cut ribs into serving-size portions and place in crock-pot. Season with garlic salt and pepper. Add Coca-Cola. Cover and cook on low about 8 hours, or until tender. During last 30 minutes of cook time, drain juice from ribs and coat well with barbecue sauce.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs or spare ribs can be used for this recipe. Baby back ribs are leaner and cook more quickly, while spare ribs have more meat and a richer flavor.
  • Make sure the ribs are trimmed: Remove any excess fat or membrane from the ribs before cooking. This will help the ribs cook evenly and prevent them from becoming tough.
  • Use a good quality cola: The type of cola you use will have a big impact on the flavor of the ribs. Use a cola that you enjoy drinking, such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, or Dr. Pepper.
  • Don't overcook the ribs: Ribs are best when they are cooked until they are tender but not fall-off-the-bone. Overcooked ribs will be dry and tough.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: Once the ribs are cooked, let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute and make the ribs even more flavorful.

Conclusion:

Coca-Cola ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a rack of ribs that is fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor. So next time you're looking for a new recipe to try, give Coca-Cola ribs a try. You won't be disappointed!
