- Use a large loaf pan: A 13x9-inch loaf pan is ideal for this recipe, as it will accommodate the large amount of meatloaf mixture.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture: Overworking the meatloaf mixture can make it tough. Mix it gently until the ingredients are just combined.
- Use a wet hand to shape the meatloaf: This will help prevent the meatloaf from sticking to your hands.
- Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature for the first 30 minutes: This will help to brown the meatloaf and give it a crispy crust.
- Reduce the oven temperature after 30 minutes: This will help to cook the meatloaf through without drying it out.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the meatloaf: The meatloaf is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest before serving: This will help the meatloaf to retain its juices and make it easier to slice.
