CRAVING CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BREAD PUDDING

Craving Chocolate Chip Cookie Bread Pudding image

This recipe came about because of my older sisters major sweet tooth.

Provided by Rochelle Ritter

Categories     Puddings

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 c day-old french bread, cubed
16 chocolate chip cookies, coarsely broken
2 c milk, whole
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Mix bread cubes and broken cookies in large bowl; set aside
  • 2. Blend milk, sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla extract; pour over bread mixture, stirring to coat evenly.
  • 3. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart round casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
  • 4. Serve warm or at room temperature topped with whipped cream if desired.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh, high-quality ingredients will result in a better-tasting cookie bread.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter, more tender bread.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense bread.
  • Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the bread is cooked through.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving: This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Cookie bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a variety of recipes to choose from, there's sure to be a cookie bread that everyone will love. Whether you're looking for a classic chocolate chip cookie bread or something more unique, like a snickerdoodle or red velvet cookie bread, you're sure to find a recipe that you'll enjoy.
