Tips:
- For a rich and flavorful coffee cake: Use high-quality cream cheese and butter. Full-fat dairy products will give your cake a more decadent flavor and texture.
- To ensure an even bake: Make sure your oven is preheated before you start baking. You can also use a baking strip around the pan to help prevent the cake from browning too quickly on the edges.
- For a moist and tender crumb: Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dry cake.
- For a delicious streusel topping: Use a combination of brown sugar, granulated sugar, and spices, such as cinnamon and nutmeg. You can also add chopped nuts or dried fruit to the streusel for extra flavor.
- To store coffee cake: Wrap the cake tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store it at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the cake for up to 2 months.
