Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 pork chops, boneless
24 oz package of hash browns
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c milk
salt and pepper to taste
1 c cheddar cheese
1 can(s) onion rings

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown pork chops.
  • 2. Combine soup, milk, sour cream and pepper. Stir in potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup onion rings. Spoon into casserole dish and top with pork chops.
  • 3. Bake at 350, covered for 40 minutes. Top with rest of onion rings and cheese, bake, uncovered for 5 minutes.

Tips:

  • Shred the potatoes by hand: This will give you a more even cook and a better texture.
  • Use a large skillet: This will help to prevent the hash browns from sticking and burning.
  • Cook the hash browns until they are golden brown and crispy: This will give them a delicious flavor and texture.
  • Use a good quality cheese: This will make a big difference in the flavor of the casserole.
  • Don't overcook the casserole: It should be cooked until the cheese is melted and bubbly, but the hash browns should still be slightly crispy.
  • Serve the casserole immediately: It is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Creamy hash brown casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. It is a great way to use up leftover hash browns, and it can also be made ahead of time and reheated. This casserole is sure to be a hit with your family and friends!
