3 ounces (6 tablespoons) cream cheese
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
Red food coloring
3 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese in a bowl; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly. Stir in extract until blended. Tint mixture pink or red as desired. 1 drop any color food coloring paste

2 tablespoons half-and-half
1/4 cup butter
1 (15 ounce) box white creamy frosting
1 teaspoon peppermint extract (or 1 tsp. of other flavoring - strawberry is my favorite)
