These are very good. You can also make them smaller using the "triangle" instead of the "square" and have as an appetizer instead of the main course.

CHICKEN BROCCOLI CRESCENT SQUARES
This is my own creation of a recipe from a local restaurant that closed. This was my favorite along with their Robert Redford Pie. That's a recreation waiting to happen too! You may choose to used canned chicken to have even less prep or make triangles, instead of squares, for appetizers. Great with a salad to complete a light meal.

CHICKEN CRESCENT SQUARES
I am a mother of 3 and married to a farmer...we use products off our farm to cook with. I have been collecting old time recipes for years - trying to teach my kids how it was in the "olden days." This is a family favorite of ours! I believe the time at the dinner table is very important and something that has been lost this...

Steps:
- 1. In a bowl blend softened cream cheese, melted butter & milk. Mix in chicken & seasonings. Seperate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles. Firmly press performations to seal. Spoon 1/2 C. mixture into the center of each roll. Pull four corners of roll to the top center and twist slightly to seal. Press edges together to seal sides. Place in greased 9×13. Spray tops w/ cooking spray and sprinkle crushed stuffing/croutons on top. Bake @ 350 for 25 min, uncovered. Top w/ gravy or soup mixture, and more crushed croutons/stuffing and bake an addition 10-15 min.
- 2. *I made a chicken gravy for this. I used about 1 C. chicken broth (heated on stovetop). Mix 1/2 C. milk with 1/4 C. flour - whisk or use a "shaker" to blend. Pour slowly into broth to make gravy thicken. OR you can mix a can of cream of mushroom soup w/ about a half can of milk for a quick gravy.

Tips:
- Prep Your Ingredients: Before you start cooking, take the time to measure and prepare all of your ingredients. This will make the cooking process much smoother and faster, especially with the quick cooking time of crescent chicken squares.
- Use Quality Ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will directly impact the flavor and texture of your dish. Use fresh, high-quality ingredients whenever possible, especially since crescent chicken squares only require a few simple ingredients to shine.
- Don't Overcook the Chicken: Chicken is a lean meat, so it's important not to overcook it. Otherwise, it will become dry and tough. Chicken is cooked through when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). To ensure it's cooked properly, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature before removing the chicken from the oven.
- Use a Sharp Knife: A sharp knife will make it easier to cut your chicken and vegetables into even pieces. This will help them cook evenly and ensure that your crescent chicken squares have a uniform texture.
- Don't Crowd the Pan: When searing the chicken, don't crowd the pan. Otherwise, the chicken will steam instead of sear. This will result in a soggy, bland chicken. Instead, sear the chicken in batches if necessary to ensure that each piece is properly browned.
Conclusion:
Crescent chicken squares are an easy and delicious meal that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They're perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings. With a flaky crescent roll crust, tender chicken filling, and flavorful sauce, these squares are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give crescent chicken squares a try.
