Tips:

  • Choose high-quality scallops. Fresh, dry scallops are essential for this recipe. Look for scallops that are plump and have a slightly sweet smell.
  • Use Panko breadcrumbs for a crispy coating. Panko breadcrumbs are lighter and airier than regular breadcrumbs, which helps to create a crispy crust on the scallops.
  • Season the scallops well. Don't be afraid to season the scallops generously with salt and pepper. This will help to enhance their natural flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Make sure to leave enough space between the scallops on the baking sheet so that they can cook evenly.
  • Bake the scallops until they are golden brown. The scallops should be cooked through and golden brown, but not overcooked. Overcooked scallops will be tough and chewy.

Conclusion:

Crispy baked scallops are a delicious and elegant dish that is perfect for a special occasion. They are easy to make and can be prepared in just 30 minutes. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
