SARASOTA'S CUCUMBER TOMATO SALAD IN A CREAMY DILL SAUCE
Classic and nothing fancy, but a great summertime salad. Growing up in Michigan, we always had a big garden, as well as tons of tomatoes. This became one of my favorite salads. Now, my Mom used to make it with sour cream back in the days ... but nowadays, I use plain yogurt which I think makes it a bit lighter. However, you can still use sour cream or even a mix of the two if you prefer.

Tips:
- Choose the right cucumbers: For the best flavor, use fresh, firm cucumbers that are not too watery. English or Persian cucumbers are good choices.
- Slice the cucumbers thinly: This will help them absorb the flavors of the sauce better.
- Use fresh dill: Fresh dill has a more intense flavor than dried dill. If you don't have fresh dill, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried dill.
- Make the sauce ahead of time: The sauce can be made up to 2 days ahead of time. This will allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve the sauce chilled: The sauce is best served chilled. You can either refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes before serving, or you can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator.
Conclusion:
Cucumber dill sauce is a versatile sauce that can be used on a variety of dishes. It is a great way to add flavor to grilled or roasted meats, fish, or vegetables. It can also be used as a dip for vegetables or chips. No matter how you choose to use it, cucumber dill sauce is sure to be a hit!
