RANCH CUCUMBER, TOMATO AND ONION SALAD
So easy, so good. My newest summertime addiction. My SIL Jeni actually gave me the idea for this, so I want to make sure she gets credit! I'm sure this isn't a completely original recipe though, lol. I can usually only wait about 1/2 hour for the salad to meld together, but it has lasted a whole 24 hours in the fridge before I devoured the leftovers!

Steps:
- Mix together ; sour cream , milk ,ranch mix , lemon juice , salt & pepper and dill weed in a medium bowl.
- Mix prepared cucumbers and onion ring slices in ranch mixture.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes ; just too get cold and to let the flavor set.
Tips:
- Use a sharp knife to thinly slice the cucumbers and onions. This will help them absorb the marinade better.
- If you don't have any buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
- The longer you marinate the cucumbers and onions, the more flavorful they will be. However, don't marinate them for more than 24 hours, or they will start to get mushy.
- If you're short on time, you can skip the marinating step and just toss the cucumbers and onions with the ranch dressing. They will still be delicious, but they won't be as flavorful.
- Serve the cucumbers and onions as a side dish or appetizer. They're also great on sandwiches, tacos, and salads.
Conclusion:
Cucumbers and onions in ranch sauce is a refreshing and flavorful dish that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a delicious and healthy snack or side dish, give this recipe a try!
