I've been making this versatile pizza recipe for my family for decades. It's the only one we make and is also wonderful meatless-with eggplant and zucchini instead of chicken. Hot roll mix makes for a delightful crust! It's a great party pizza. -Edward Smulski, Lyons, Illinois

Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 11

SAUCE
16 oz alfredo sauce
3 clove garlic, minced
TOPPINGS
3 c cubed chicken
2 clove garlic, minced
4 roma tomatoes, diced (optional)
1 c green onion, chopped
3 c mozzarella cheese
2/3 c parmesan cheese
optional toppings: black olives, mini turkey pepperoni, mushrooms

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Cook chicken with small amount of oil in pan on medium/high heat. Set aside.
  • 2. Prepare deep dish dough (also posted in my recipes) in 2 greased 9x13 pans.
  • 3. Mix alfredo sauce with minced garlic and spread over dough.
  • 4. Add chicken and sprinkle with remaining toppings. Allow pizza to rest for 20 minutes.
  • 5. Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly and crust is golden brown.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use high-quality ingredients. This includes using fresh vegetables, quality cheese, and a flavorful sauce.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different toppings. There are endless possibilities, so get creative and have fun!
  • If you're using a pre-made dough, be sure to let it come to room temperature before using it. This will make it easier to work with.
  • Be careful not to overcook the pizza. The crust should be golden brown and the cheese should be melted and bubbly, but the toppings should not be dry or overcooked.
  • Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the cheese to set and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Deep-dish chicken pizza is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. With its crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and melted cheese, it's sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dinner, give deep-dish chicken pizza a try. You won't be disappointed!
