1 cup light Karo syrup
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
6 cups corn flakes

  • Bring sugar and caro syrup to a boil and remove from fire.

¼ cup margarine
½ cup peanut butter
¾ cup white sugar
1 egg, beaten
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups crispy rice cereal squares

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, peanut butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Crush the cereal squares and stir into the dough until well blended. Roll tablespoons of dough into balls and place them 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. 1 cup butter
1-1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 tablespoons water
2 cups finely chopped toasted almonds
8 milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 ounces each)

Steps:

  • Line a 13x9-in. pan with foil; set aside. Using part of the butter, grease the sides of a large heavy saucepan. Add remaining butter to saucepan; melt over low heat. Add sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until a candy thermometer reads 300° (hard-crack stage). , Remove from the heat and stir in almonds. Quickly pour into the prepared pan, spreading to cover bottom of pan. Cool completely.
