1 cup salsa
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 pint sour cream
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1 bunch green onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • First (bottom) layer: mix together beans, salsa, cumin, and garlic powder, and spread on large, flat serving dish as a thin layer, maybe 1/2 inch thick.

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup apricot preserves
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring water and sugar to a boil without stirring; boil for 5 minutes. Add cranberries, cook until berries pop and sauce is thickened, about 10 minutes. 1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 ounces) red beans, rinsed and drained
