FESTIVE FRUIT SALAD
From one of the TOH magazines submitted by J Johnson. I love the combo of the different fruits and the walnuts - just a good blend. The dressing is light and does not mask the flavors of the fruit. Allow 30 minutes at least for dressing to cool and another hour for salad to set before serving.

Tips:
- Choose a variety of fruits: Use a mix of colors, textures, and flavors to create a visually appealing and delicious fruit ladder. Some good options include grapes, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, mango, and kiwi.
- Prepare the fruit: Wash and dry the fruit thoroughly before assembling the ladder. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Assemble the ladder: Start by threading a piece of fruit onto a skewer. Then, add another piece of fruit, alternating the type of fruit with each layer. Continue adding fruit until the skewer is full.
- Secure the ladder: Once the ladder is assembled, secure it with a ribbon or piece of twine. This will help to keep the fruit in place and prevent it from falling off.
- Chill the ladder: If you are making the fruit ladder ahead of time, chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help to keep the fruit fresh and crisp.
- Serve the ladder: When ready to serve, place the fruit ladder on a platter or cake stand. You can also drizzle it with honey, melted chocolate, or caramel sauce.
Conclusion:
A fruit ladder is a fun and easy way to enjoy fresh fruit. It is a perfect snack for parties, picnics, or potlucks. With a little creativity, you can create a fruit ladder that is both beautiful and delicious. So next time you are looking for a healthy and refreshing snack, try making a fruit ladder.
