FIRE AND ICE PASTA

Fire and Ice Pasta image

I apparently copied the original recipe down wrong (2 cups of olive oil?? That can't be right!) so I took extreme liberties with it when I made this. I added black olives and used white onions instead of the chives. This would be better with fresh herbs. It's spicy, so serve it with some chewy bread and a mixed green salad.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pasta: For this salad, it's best to use a short pasta like penne, rotini, or bow-tie pasta.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: This means cooking it until it is slightly firm to the bite. This will help it hold its shape and texture in the salad.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add color, flavor, and texture to your salad. Some good options include diced cucumbers, chopped tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, and grated carrots.
  • Don't overdress the salad: A little bit of dressing goes a long way. Too much dressing will make the salad soggy and bland.
  • Chill the salad before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the salad will be more refreshing.

Conclusion:

Fire and ice pasta salad is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout or potluck. The combination of sweet and spicy flavors is sure to please everyone. With a few simple tips, you can make the best fire and ice pasta salad every time.
