FROZEN VODKA SLUSH

Frozen Vodka Slush image

This is so yummy.... I love frozen drinks. Use whatever pop is your favorite ( I use diet to cut down on the sweetness) I also put the juice & zest of a lemon, lime & orange if you have it.... Just brightens up the flavor. Also the maraschino cherries are optional, my mother in law makes brandy slushes and puts them in hers...

Provided by Joelle Johnson

Categories     Cocktails

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 can(s) frozen lemonade concentrate
1 can(s) frozen limeade concentrate
1 c orange juice
2 tea bags
1/2 c sugar
4 1/2 c water
maraschino cherries & juice as desired(optional)
7 up/sprite/sierra mist/sprite pop (i use diet)
1 c vodka
1 c boiling water

Steps:

  • 1. In heat proof cup place tea bags, pour boiling water over and let them steep until dark. Remove tea bags and dissolve sugar in hot mixture.
  • 2. In large tupperware storage container with lid pour tea mixture add all ingredients (EXCEPT Maraschino cherries). Mix well. Place in freezer container and freeze overnight.
  • 3. When ready to serve use a fork and scrape mixture making like a light slush frozen fluff mixture. Using scoop or spoon scoop into glasses filling till the top. Pour cold pop over top, adding a maraschino cherry & a little cherry juice over mixture. Using straw break up slush and mix cherry juice in. (Can add additonal vodka if desired). Enjoy

Tips:

  • Choose the right ingredients: Use ripe, fresh fruit or fruit juice for the best flavor. Avoid using frozen fruit that has been thawed and refrozen, as this can result in a grainy texture.
  • Use a blender or food processor: A blender or food processor will help you achieve a smooth, slushy texture. If you don't have a blender or food processor, you can also use a fork or whisk to mix the ingredients together.
  • Freeze the mixture: Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight. You can also freeze the mixture in ice cube trays and then blend the cubes until they reach a slushy consistency.
  • Add garnishes: Once the slush is frozen, you can add garnishes such as fresh fruit, whipped cream, or sprinkles. You can also drizzle the slush with a flavored syrup or sauce.

Conclusion:

Frozen slushes are a delicious and refreshing treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for a hot summer day or as a dessert after a meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can easily make your own frozen slush at home. So next time you're craving a cold and refreshing treat, give one of these recipes a try!
