This recipe was in a 2000 Chef's Illustrated magazine. It's different than most pasta recipes with garlic oil, and so yummy! It takes a little longer to prepare, but it's worth it. Don't be afraid to toast the crumbs until dark brown. The crunchier the better!

Tips:
- Use a variety of cheeses to create a flavorful and gooey filling. Try using a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses, or experiment with different types of cheese, such as fontina, Gruyère, or Gouda.
- For a crispy crust, brush the dough with olive oil before baking. This will help the dough to brown evenly and give it a nice crispy texture.
- If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or even a can of soup to roll out the dough.
- Be careful not to overcook the pasta. It should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite.
- Let the torte cool slightly before slicing and serving. This will help the filling to set and make it easier to slice.
