It was traumatic down here in Baton Rouge when Kraft discontinued. It was necessary for at least two recipes from River Road Recipes, the Textbook of Louisiana Cuisine (1959), River Road Spinach Madeleine and Garlic Cheese Grits. This company makes one, see if your grocery can get them. http://www.parkersfarm.com/ Our local paper had an article on substitutes. http://www.2theadvocate.com/features/food/33919844.html?showAll=y&c=y

Yield 1 Log, 4-6 serving(s)
Number Of Ingredients 6
Steps:
- Grate Sharp Cheddar and Medium Cheddar cheese. Add cream cheese. Let it set at room temperature for 4 hours. Mix all ingredients. Shape into rolls ( i call them logs) about 6 or 8 inches long and about as wide as an egg i would say. This recipe will make about 6 logs. Roll them into the paprika until they are well dusted. Wrap them in foil and place in fridge overnight. They will keep for 4 weeks in fridge. After chilling, slice and serve them with crackers.
- Note* Aside from the 4 hours you have to set it out, it take about an hour to do the rest, but is well worth it!

Tips:
- Use cold butter straight from the fridge when making the dough, as this will help to prevent the dough from becoming too sticky and difficult to work with. - To ensure that the dough is well combined, mix it until it comes together in a ball and then knead it briefly until it is smooth and elastic. - When rolling out the dough, use a lightly floured surface and rolling pin to prevent the dough from sticking. - Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into even pieces, as this will help to ensure that they cook evenly. - Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter before baking them, as this will help to give them a golden brown color and a crispy crust. - Let the rolls cool slightly before serving, as this will make them easier to handle. ###Conclusion:
Garlic cheese rolls are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack that are perfect for any occasion. They are made with a simple dough that is filled with a mixture of garlic, cheese, and herbs, and then baked until golden brown. The rolls are soft and fluffy on the inside, and the garlic cheese filling is flavorful and cheesy. They are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
