Time 55m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 boneless center cut pork chops (1 1/2 inch-thick)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a self-sealing plastic bag large enough to hold chops.
  • Marinate pork in mixture 30 minutes.
  • Prepare medium-hot coals in grill bed.
  • Remove pork from marinade, place 5 inches over coals and grill for 12-15 minutes, turning once and basting with marinade.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pork chops: Look for bone-in pork chops that are at least 1 inch thick. Bone-in pork chops are more flavorful and juicy than boneless pork chops.
  • Season the pork chops liberally: Season the pork chops with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. You can also add other spices or herbs, such as cumin, oregano, or thyme.
  • Sear the pork chops over high heat: Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side over high heat. This will create a nice crust and help to lock in the juices.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the pork chops until they are cooked through: Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the pork chops for 10-12 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the pork chops rest before serving: Let the pork chops rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Conclusion:

Garlic pepper pork chops are a simple and delicious dish that can be prepared in just 30 minutes. The pork chops are seared over high heat and then cooked until they are tender and juicy. The garlic and pepper seasoning gives the pork chops a flavorful crust. This dish is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. Serve the pork chops with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
