1/2 cup Oil ((canola oil or coconut oil is best))
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 packet Ranch Dressing Mix
1 lb Bag of Pretzels

Steps:

  • Add the oil, ranch dressing mix and garlic powder to a large ziplock bag. Seal the bag and shake to combine all the ingredients.
  • Then add the pretzels to the bag. Seal the bag but make sure to not take the air out of the bag. Then shake the bag to thoroughly coat the pretzels with the oil and the seasonings.
  • Spread out onto a baking sheet.
  • Baked at 270 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool completely and enjoy!

My spousal unit and I are garlic freaks and also love the garlic butter served with seafood. Since we do not eat lobster or shrimp, we wanted something with that garlic butter taste and decided to "kick it up a notch" with Emeril's Essence.

1 cup butter
1 (20 ounce) package pretzels (stick work best)
6 cloves garlic, minced (or more if you dare, either through a garlic press or in a food processor)
1 teaspoon Emeril's Original Essence (either commercial or use the recipe here)

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter, garlic and essence.
  • Stir and mix until boiling.
  • Place the pretzels in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle the butter mixture over the pretzels and coat as best you can.
  • Spread the coated pretzels into an ungreased baking pan (can be split into two pans for easier tossing).
  • Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes (or until the pretzels are no longer wet), stirring every 15 minutes (to recoat the pretzels.) Cool and store in Ziploc or resealable container.
  • GREAT with ice cold PEPSI (or beer if you must!).

2 (1 lb) bags sourdough pretzels
2 (1 ounce) envelopes dry ranch dressing mix
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dill weed
2 teaspoons celery seeds
3/4 cup canola oil

Steps:

  • Break pretzels into bite sized pieces. Place in large bowl.
  • Mix oil with dry ingredients, and pour over pretzels. Mix well then pour into 1 or 2 foil-lined baking pans.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, take from oven, mix with wooden spoon, and put back in the oven for 10 more minutes.
