WHITE GINGERBREAD TEA CAKE

A very pretty, light, moist tea cake. IF you use the tube or bundt pan, you can use the center as a flower vase by picking fall flowers, wrapping them in a wet towel and place in the center of the cake. I think this recipe originally came from an old Inn cookbook.

Tips:

  • To make sure your tea cake is moist and flavorful, use high-quality tea leaves or tea bags. Loose-leaf tea will give you the best flavor, but tea bags are also a good option.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  • To prevent the cake from sticking to the pan, grease and flour the pan before pouring in the batter.< /li>
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. This will take about 45-50 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting set properly.
  • For a richer flavor, use a cream cheese frosting instead of a buttercream frosting.
  • Decorate the cake with your favorite toppings, such as sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh berries.

Gingerbread tea cake is a delicious and festive treat that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its moist and flavorful crumb and decadent frosting, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
