1 (2 lb) package frozen hash browns
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the final dish. Choose potatoes that are firm and have a thin skin, and use fresh vegetables and herbs.
  • Season well: Don't be afraid to season your hash browns liberally. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are essential, and you can also add other seasonings to your taste, such as paprika, chili powder, or cumin.
  • Cook your hash browns in a well-seasoned skillet: A well-seasoned skillet will help your hash browns cook evenly and prevent them from sticking. If you don't have a well-seasoned skillet, you can season it by heating it over medium heat and rubbing it with a little oil.
  • Cook your hash browns in batches: Don't overcrowd the skillet, or your hash browns will steam instead of fry. Cook them in batches, stirring them occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve your hash browns immediately: Hash browns are best served hot and fresh. You can top them with your favorite toppings, such as eggs, cheese, salsa, or avocado.
