GONE TO HEAVEN COOKIES
I found this recipe 20 years ago in my mom's recipe box. It was a very old newspaper clipping, but I don't recall her ever making them. I updated it a bit and baked a cookie that my friend named by saying, "Oh, I've died and gone to heaven!"

ELVIS-HAS-DIED-AND-GONE-TO-HEAVEN CUPCAKES
Elvis would have never left the building if these banana cupcakes were on the menu. We topped them with maple buttercream frosting, drizzled with syrup and sprinkled with chopped bacon. The King would approve.

Tips:
- Mise en place: Before you start baking, gather all your ingredients and tools. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
- Use room temperature ingredients: This helps them mix together more easily and evenly.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy: This will incorporate air into the mixture, making the cookies lighter and more tender.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: This helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies at the right temperature and for the right amount of time: Underbaked cookies will be soft and gooey, while overbaked cookies will be hard and dry.
- Let the cookies cool completely before serving: This will help them set and develop their full flavor.
