Time 30m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 large eggs
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
paprika

Steps:

  • Place eggs in single layer in saucepan and cover with 3 inches water. Bring to boil, cover and remove from heat.
  • Let stand 15 minutes. Drain and fill pan with cold water. Peel eggs under cold, running water.
  • Halve eggs lengthwise and scoop yolks into mixing bowl.
  • Add mayonnaise, pickle relish, mustard, salt and pepper. Mash thoroughly.
  • Use spoon or pastry bag to fill egg halves with yolk mixture.
  • Garnish with paprika. Chill.

Tips:

- Utilize fresh, high-quality ingredients: For the best flavor, use fresh eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and other ingredients. Fresh herbs like chives or parsley can also elevate the taste. - Boil eggs perfectly: To prevent overcooked yolks and ensure easy peeling, place the eggs in a single layer in a pot of cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pot and remove it from heat. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes, depending on desired doneness. - Make a smooth filling: Use a food processor or blender to create a smooth and creamy filling. This will help to incorporate all the flavors evenly and prevent a lumpy texture. - Chill the eggs before serving: After filling the eggs, chill them for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the filling to set. - Garnish before serving: For an elegant presentation, garnish the deviled eggs with paprika, chives, parsley, or crumbled bacon just before serving. - Experiment with variations: Feel free to customize the recipe to your liking. Add crumbled bacon, chopped ham, diced pickles, or other ingredients to create different flavor combinations.
