1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup julienned green pepper
1 cup julienned sweet red pepper
2 tablespoons canola oil
12 slices sourdough bread
1/2 pound each thinly sliced deli ham, smoked turkey and pastrami
6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
6 slices process American cheese
6 slices Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute the onion, mushrooms and peppers in oil until tender. Layer six bread slices with ham, turkey, pastrami, bacon, vegetables and cheese; top with remaining bread. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
12 slices Texas toast thick bread
1/2 cup butter, softened, more if needed

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients except bread and butter in a medium bowl.
  • Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Put sandwiches together using about 1/2 cup of filling each.
  • Place buttered side of bread on the outside of sandwich.

1 -2 slice American cheese
1 slice Canadian bacon or 1 sausage patty
4 tablespoons unsalted butter (half to cook egg, other half to butter bread)

1 loaf ciabatta (1 pound)
Extra-virgin olive oil, for brushing
1/2 cup olive tapenade
4 ounces sliced provolone
8 ounces low-moisture mozzarella (such as Polly-O), thinly sliced
1 cup thinly sliced roasted red peppers
1 jar (12 ounces) marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
4 ounces thinly sliced spicy salami
2 cups baby arugula

Steps:
