Vegetable oil, for oiling the baking sheet
1 large egg white
1 cup unsalted raw cashews
1 cup unsalted raw peanuts
1 cup unsalted raw pecans
1 cup unsalted raw walnuts
1 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • For the cocktail spice blend: Mix together the sugar, paprika, thyme, mustard, cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
  • For the nuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Put the egg white in a large bowl and whisk until frothy. Add the cashews, peanuts, pecans and walnuts and toss to coat in the egg white. Add the spice blend and toss to coat again.

1 egg white

1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
1-3/4 cups sugar, divided
2 packages (3 ounces each) lemon gelatin
1 package (3 ounces) orange gelatin
1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts

  • Line an 8-in. square pan with foil and grease the foil with 1 teaspoon butter; set aside. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberry sauce, 1 cup sugar and lemon and orange gelatin. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; stir in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight. , Using foil, lift candy out of pan.
