HERBED ROLLS
Steps:
- Unroll 1 tube refrigerated spiral dinner rolls or crescent rolls; brush with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped mixed herbs. Reroll and bake as the label directs. Meanwhile, mix 2 tablespoons each softened butter and chopped herbs; spread on the rolls.
Tips:
- To make the rolls ahead of time, prepare the dough and shape the rolls as directed. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. When ready to bake, remove the rolls from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
- If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or a glass jar to roll out the dough.
- To make the herb butter, simply mix together the softened butter, herbs, and garlic powder. You can use any combination of herbs that you like, such as parsley, thyme, rosemary, or sage.
- If you don't have a pastry brush, you can use a spoon to brush the rolls with the melted butter.
- To check if the rolls are done, insert a toothpick into the center of a roll. If the toothpick comes out clean, the rolls are done.
