1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons margarine or 3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
3 egg whites
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 cup frozen fat-free whipped topping, , thawed

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 deg F.
  • Spray 9-inch pie pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
  • In medium bowl, combine flour, graham cracker crumbs and sugar; mix well.

4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1-1/4 cups packed brown sugar
3/4 cup light corn syrup
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
1/2 cup pecan halves

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt; cut in the butter and shortening until crumbly. Combine water, vinegar and vanilla. Gradually add to flour mixture, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Wrap in plastic; refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight., Roll out pastry to fit a 9-in. pie plate. Transfer pastry to pie plate. Trim pastry to 1/2 in. beyond edge of plate; flute edges.
