HOMEMADE FINGER PAINT
With this quick and easy finger paint your child can finger paint for just pennies. It's perfect for using on paper or in the bathtub. The dish soap makes this finger paint wash out of anything my girls have painted with it. Keeps for at least a week in airtight containers. A fun painting option is to cover a tray or cookie sheet with waxed paper and have your child spoon paint over it in different colors. Cover with another sheet of waxed paper. Your child can press down on the colors and watch them blend and move.

EASY FINGER PAINT
All the recipes I found here were calling for either cornstarch(I was out) or glycerin (didn't have any). I found this on http://www.creativekidsathome.com/activities/activity_42.html. DD is working on it right now. With 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of flour we got enough to make three colors, enough for one time painting. Update:it works! The painting I made was nice, no cracks. The one DD did, crinkled up the paper. She poured the paint on the paper and worked from there. I 'm happy with the result.

- Experiment with different recipes. There are many different recipes for homemade finger paints, so feel free to experiment until you find one that you like. You can adjust the ingredients to create different colors, textures, and scents.
- Make a large batch. Finger paints can be used up quickly, so it's a good idea to make a large batch at once. This will save you time and effort in the long run.
- Store the finger paints properly. Keep the finger paints in a sealed container in a cool, dark place. This will help to prevent them from drying out or spoiling.
- Clean up properly. Be sure to clean up any spills or stains from the finger paints immediately. This will help to prevent them from setting in and becoming difficult to remove.

With just a few simple ingredients, you can create finger paints that are non-toxic, washable, and long-lasting. So get creative and let your child's imagination run wild!
