Tips:

  • Prep your ingredients: Before you start baking, make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature, including the butter and eggs. Softened butter will mix better with the other ingredients, and room-temperature eggs will help the cookies rise properly.
  • Chill the dough: After mixing the dough, chill it for at least 30 minutes before rolling and baking. This will help the dough firm up and prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Use parchment paper: Line your baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent the cookies from sticking. Parchment paper also makes it easy to transfer the cookies to a cooling rack.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The ideal baking temperature for icebox sugar cookies is 375°F (190°C). This will help the cookies bake evenly without overbrowning.
  • Watch the cookies closely: Icebox sugar cookies bake quickly, so keep an eye on them in the oven. They should be done when the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Conclusion:

Icebox sugar cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a few simple tips, you can make perfect icebox sugar cookies that will be a hit at your next party or gathering.
