The meat and cheese are the real stars of this wonderful version of impossible pie!

Provided by Tiffany Ash

Categories     Burgers

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 10

1-2 lb ground beef
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
3/4 c water
1/2 c finely chopped onion
1 1/2 c finely shredded cheese of your choice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 c milk
3 large eggs
3/4 c bisquick mix

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan (or two pie pans) and set oven temperature to 400 degrees.
  • 2. Cook and drain ground beef. Add onion soup mix and 3/4 cup of water, let simmer until liquid is gone.
  • 3. In a separate pan, caramelize onions and add to hamburger mix.
  • 4. In a mixing bowl add salt, pepper, milk, eggs and bisquick mix. Beat until batter is evenly mixed.
  • 5. Take the hamburger mix and the shredded cheese to make two layers in your pan. Make sure there is a layer of cheese on top. Next, evenly pour the bisquick batter over the top of the hamburger and cheese layers.
  • 6. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and let cook for 30 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ground beef. The better the beef, the better the pie will be. Look for grass-fed, organic beef for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the beef. Overcooked beef will be tough and dry. Cook it just until it is browned and no longer pink in the center.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the most important ingredients in the pie, so don't skimp on it. Use a sharp cheddar or a combination of cheeses for the best flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different toppings. You can add anything from bacon and onions to mushrooms and peppers to your pie. Get creative and make it your own!
  • Let the pie cool slightly before slicing. This will help the filling to set and prevent it from running out of the pie.

Conclusion:

The Impossible Cheeseburger Pie is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover ground beef, and it is also a great option for a quick and easy weeknight meal. With its simple ingredients and delicious flavor, the Impossible Cheeseburger Pie is sure to become a family favorite.
