CONEY ISLAND BURGERS-COPYCAT

Coney Island Burgers-Copycat image

This is the closest I could get to my beloved hometown burger shop, Coney Island. You slather this sauce on thin patties and top with American cheese and onions. And that's it! So good! They also put it on hotdogs.

Tips:

  • Don't overmix the meat. Overmixing can make the burgers tough.
  • Season the meat liberally. Use a variety of seasonings, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Form the burgers into patties that are about 3/4-inch thick. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Cook the burgers over medium-high heat. This will help them get a nice sear on the outside and stay juicy on the inside.
  • Don't press down on the burgers while they are cooking. This will make them dry and tough.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the burgers are cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the meat.
