Tips:

  • Choose the right rub for your meat. Different rubs are better suited for different types of meat. For example, a sweet rub is a good choice for pork, while a spicy rub is a good choice for beef.
  • Apply the rub liberally. Don't be afraid to use a lot of rub. The more rub you use, the more flavor your meat will have.
  • Let the rub sit on the meat for at least 30 minutes. This will give the rub time to penetrate the meat and develop its flavor.
  • Cook the meat according to the recipe instructions. Every recipe is different, so be sure to follow the instructions carefully.
  • Let the meat rest before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Making your own BBQ rub is a great way to add flavor and complexity to your grilled meats. With a little experimentation, you can create a rub that is perfect for your taste. So next time you're firing up the grill, be sure to try one of these recipes. You won't be disappointed.
